Reno Aces' Mr. Baseball to get makeover as Greater Nevada Field sees renovations

A makeover is coming for Mr. Baseball, the giant-headed figure that looms over the centerfield wall during the seventh inning stretch at Reno Aces home games.

The team announced on Wednesday that Mr. Baseball would be among the improvements coming to Greater Nevada Field.

"Through fan feedback, we made the decision to upgrade Mr. Baseball, knowing his new appearance will appeal to the masses this coming season," Aces president Eric Edelstein said in an article on the team website.

Fans will soon find new wall pads for the fences, dugout rails and foul-territory walls, a third art mural, new artwork in the suite level and the return of celebratory strobe lights on the right field berm. Video displays from Daktronics are also being added.

The strobe lights will be used for Aces home runs, Reno 1868 FC goals and other big moments for Reno's home teams.
