Nevada women's basketball defeats Wyoming 67-63; will play in Mountain West Championship
The Nevada women's basketball team continued their remarkable March through March on Wednesday night, defeating three-seeded Wyoming 67-63 to move on to the Mountain West Championship.
Nevada had an extremely balanced scoring attack against Wyoming. T Moe led all scorers with 17 points and went 7-of-8 from the charity stripe. Teige Zeller wasn't far behind with 16 points, and Camariah King was the final Pack player in double figures with 11. Halie Bergman and Jade Redmon also each had eight points a piece.
One startling statistic from the game was that Nevada was out-rebounded by 13, and still won. What evened that out was that Wyoming had ten turnovers compared to Nevada's three.
#7 seeded Nevada will take on #1 seeded Boise State on Friday at noon on the Mountain West Network online. The Pack split with Boise State on the season, defeating the Broncos in Boise 72-68, and falling to the Broncos in Reno 63-55 three weeks ago. If Nevada wins they will have an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
