Two suspects arrested from overnight shooting in Sparks

Two of the individuals involved in the Sunday's shooting were identified as, 20 year old Clyde Buckley III and 18 year old Ben Roper, both Reno residents. Both suspects were initially arrested on September 22nd for non-shooting offenses.

According to the Sparks Police Department, Buckley and Roper were each booked for additional charges related to the shooting of two counts of Attempted Homicide with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon, after further investigation was completed.

Both were armed with semi-automatic handguns during the shooting, and both fired several rounds at several individuals in the parking lot.

Sparks Police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of 1955 Oddie Blvd at around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22.

Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple fired shell casings. Witnesses told officers that shots were fired on the parking lot after an altercation.

No victims were found on scene. However, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old arrived at a local hospital suffering with life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds.

Both individuals were provided medical attention and are now in stable condition.

Sparks Detectives are actively investigating the incident.
