Susanville Police looking for two male suspects in shooting on Cornell Street

Susanville Police are investigating a shooting between two male subjects on Cornell Street on Wednesday, May 16.

It happened about 8 a.m, when officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Cornell Street to a report of one to two gunshots fired.

Upon arrival, officers learned that two male subjects were involved in an altercation that ended in gunfire before one of the subjects fled the scene towards Main Street.

Based on the investigation and the information gathered, it appears that the two subjects involved in the altercation were familiar with each other.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

The incident did not involve the Lassen High School or its students.

The department was assisted by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office during this incident and is actively investigating this case and following up on any leads.
