SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The South Lake Tahoe Police Department and the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration will be collecting expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drug on Saturday, October 27.
A drop off location will be set in the Safeway at 1020 Johnson Blvd South Lake Tahoe from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
The DEA will not be accepting liquids, needles or sharps; only pills or patches.
If anyone cannot make it to Safeway, there is a permanent collection bin in the Police Department Lobby, 1352 Johnson Blvd South Lake Tahoe, CA.
