The city of Reno has installed a new paid parking system at its garage for City Hall.

Maintenance on the parking garage has been completed, according to spokeswoman Lauren Ball, and the new payment system will be up and running on Monday, April 17.

Visitors will be charged $1 per hour, with a $24 lost ticket charge, Ball said in a statement Friday.

Kiosks will be available on the ground level of the garage, which will accept cash, Visa or Mastercard. The exit gates will also accept either Visa or Mastercard.

Parking will still be free for city employees and those doing business or attending meetings at City Hall. Visitors must get their parking validated for the free parking.
