Suspect arrested for open murder of woman found dead near railroad tracks on Sunday
The Reno Police Department has arrested a suspect involved in Sunday's homicide in the 2000 block of East 4th St on Thursday, December 20.
Police say 36-year-old Anita Rohr has been arrested for the Open Murder of Melinda Tucker. They also say Rohr is a local homeless resident and was booked into WCSO jail without incident.
Officers identified 30-year-old Melinda Tucker as the woman whose body was found near the railroad tracks near E. Fourth Street on Sunday, December 16 at around 2:14 p.m.
Police also say the body was found by a person passing the area and reported it to the police and that Tucker was homeless at the time of the homicide, but from the area.
Detectives are looking to speak to anyone who knew the victim or had spent any time with her in this area, specifically within the last two weeks.
