Police search for suspect wanted for construction fraud in Carson City, Douglas areas

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who has attempted construction related fraud in both Carson City and Douglas County, according to Detective Sam Hatley.

Hatley says that John Mark was last seen in Douglas County where he attempted to defraud an elderly couple on asphalt and deck construction.

In January, Mark approached an elderly homeowner in Carson City and offered to trim the trees on the property. After collecting payment, Mark promised to return with his crew and tools to start work. Mark never returned.

Mark is described as a white male is his mid-30's with a heavy build and dark hair. He was last seen driving an older White Ford pick-up truck.

Police have reason to believe John Mark may also be in the Reno-Sparks area.
