New peace officers graduate from Nevada Department of Public Safety
CARSON CITY, Nev. —
Fifteen new peace officers graduated at the Academy 80 ceremony at the Nevada Department of Public Safety in the Carson City Community Center on June 1.
Six of them will join the Parole and Probation Division and the rest will join the Highway Patrol Division Advanced Academy training.
The newly commissioned cadets are trained in areas such as patrol operations and investigations to serve as law enforcement officers in Nevada.
DPS officers are assigned to various divisions within the Department, including the Nevada Highway Patrol, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Investigations, Parole & Probation and Capitol Police.
