Man arrested for shooting on Greenbrae Drive

Kareem Thomas was taken into custody at approximately 10 p.m. on Wed., May 16.

He was booked into the Washoe County Jail on charges of Open Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.


A 31-year-old man has died from his injuries after being shot on Greenbrae Drive on Monday, May 14, and Sparks Police have identified a suspect.

According to police, Michael Frost of Sparks was shot after a verbal disturbance between two parties in the 2200 block of Greenbrae Dr. about 11:41 p.m.

The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Kareem Thomas of Reno.

Frost died at the hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the shooting. His next of kin has been notified,
