House keeper at senior living center arrested for burglarizing residents RENO - A House keeper at an assisted senior living center was arrested for burglarizing residents and charged with Grand Larceny.Reno Police Detectives conducted a follow up investigation in regards to recent thefts from elderly residents at the Emeritus Senior Living Center located at 5165 Summit Ridge Ct, in North Reno. The investigations stemmed from reports by the residents living in the facility since 2012 who had discovered cash or other valuables missing.As the investigation progressed, it was discovered that one of the house keepers at the facility was possibly a suspect. When Detectives spoke with the house keeper, Reno resident Sherry Sjostrom, she admitted to have stolen from the elderly residents in 2012 and again during the August 1, 2014 incident. The house keeper was arrested for two counts of Burglary and two counts of Grand Larceny -- with both charges having elderly enhancements.
