Nevada women fall to Colorado StateFORT COLLINS, CO - The Nevada womens basketball team took Mountain West-leading Colorado State to the wire but fell to the Rams, 71-64 at Moby Arena on Wednesday.With the loss, Nevada saw its two-game winning streak come to an end as the Pack fell to 9-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play. Colorado State improved to 15-4 and 7-1.Nyahsa LeSure poured in a career high 16 points to lead Nevada while Arielle Wideman added 11 for the Wolf Pack.Nevada held preseason All-MW selection Sam Martin scoreless in the first half but Martin finished with 13, one of four Rams in double figures. Gritt Ryder led all scorers with 18.The Wolf Pack held a 46-39 lead on the boards, including 25-12 on the offensive end. But the Rams shot 44.4 from the field, compared to 35.1 percent for the Pack. CSU also went to the free throw line 24 times, compared to just 10 for Nevada.Nevada used an 8-0 run to close the first half to take the lead at 31-30 going into halftime. Ashley Jones came off the bench to hit a pair of 3-pointers and LeSure scored as Nevada held the Rams without a field goal in the final 5:07 of the half. The Pack had eight different players score in the half, led by LeSures eight.It was Nevadas first loss this season when leading at the halftime (8-1). LeSures previous career high was 13, set last year against Cal State Los Angeles.The Wolf Pack will be back in action Saturday when it travels down I-25 to Colorado Springs to take on the Air Force Academy at noon (Pacific).
