Madeline Hunt joined the News 4 team as an anchor-reporter in April 2017.
Prior to joining News 4, Madeline was the 4 p.m. anchor at the CBS affiliate KSWT in Yuma, Arizona.
Madeline is a Southern California girl at heart. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Calif. and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she majored in Communication Studies and minored in Spanish. During her time at UCLA, she studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she took Spanish language, literature, and tango classes!
She discovered her love for journalism while interning at E! News. Madeline graduated UCLA Phi Beta Kappa. She is an active alumna of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Madeline attended Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City where she received a Master’s in journalism. After graduation, she decided to leave the Big Apple and moved back to the West Coast.
When Madeline isn’t chasing down a story, you can find her cooking up a storm, at the gym, at the beach, traveling, catching up with friends and family, or eating some good Mexican food.
Madeline is very excited to join the News 4 family and get involved in the Reno community! You can catch Madeline on the desk every weeknight at 11 p.m.
