Reno 1868 FC to play Earthquakes in friendly at San Jose's Avaya Stadium
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Reno 1868 FC will head to the South Bay for a friendly with the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer.
The two teams announced Thursday that Reno will take on San Jose at Avaya Stadium, the Quakes' home, on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m.
Reno 1868 FC is the USL affiliate for the Earthquakes. Defender Jimmy Ockford and midfielders Chris Wehan and Luis Felipe were all signed to deals this offseason, marking the first time in Reno 1868 FC’s history that players were signed by their MLS affiliate.
San Jose came to the Biggest Little City last February for a friendly at Greater Nevada Field, the first match in the inaugural Reno 1868 FC season. The Quakes emerged victorious 1-0.
Tickets go on sale Friday, and they'll between $30 and $60 for the general public or $20 to $50 for season pass holders.
