It's no secret that Reno-Tahoe and the surrounding area is rich with incredible outdoor activities.

It's the reason why many people choose to call our region home.

In Episode 1, News 4's Alex Margulies and Ryan Kern heads into the backcountry for some untracked skiing and riding at Homewood Mountain Resort on their guided snowcat tour.

In this web exclusive, you'll see footage that you won't find anywhere else, including how the snowcat tour was created.
