Nevada WBB falls to Boise State in the Mountain West Championship on a last second lay-in
LAS VEGAS, Nev. —
The Nevada women's basketball team was less than a second away from forcing overtime when Boise State's A'Shanti Coleman hit a lay-in to defeat the Pack 62-60.
If the Pack would have won, Nevada would have gotten their first-ever bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Pack was paced by Teige Zeller who went 6-of-7 from the field for fourteen points. Jade Redmon had 11 points and T Moe added 10. Camariah King and Terae Briggs also each had nine apiece.
Nevada and Boise State's team stats in the game were nearly identical. Nevada had 34 rebounds compared to Boise State's 32. Nevada had 26 field goals compared to Boise State's 24. Even the turnover numbers were similar, with Nevada having 14 and Boise State having 15.
