John Jones, son of Nevada basketball assistant Johnny Jones, to join Pack

Jones averaged 15.5 points as a senior.

A few weeks ago Nevada basketball announced that former LSU head coach Johnny Jones was hired by the program to be their associate head coach.

Now it seems that there is another Jones joining the program. John Jones, son of Johnny, tweeted today that he will join the Nevada basketball team.

Jones will be a freshman for the squad.

The guard was a three-time high school state champion in Louisiana and his team finished runner up this season in the state chipper. He led his team in that game with 23 points. He averaged 15.5 points this past season.
