Suspect in Sparks robbery arrested in Fernley
FERNLEY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
A suspect in a robbery reported out of Sparks was arrested Monday night after a brief standoff in Fernley, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol were called just before 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, to assist investigators from the Sparks Police Department.
There was a brief standoff on the 1600 block of Andy Way in Fernley before the suspect surrendered and was taken into Sparks Police custody, a sheriff's official confirmed.
No injuries or other issues were reported in connection with the situation in Fernley.
The identity of the suspect and exact nature of the crime were not released.
