Reno Police search for two men who robbed elderly man of cash at ATM
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
The Reno Police Department are looking for two men who worked together to rob an elderly man of cash he withdrew from an ATM this month.
Sgt. Ron Chalmers said in a statement that officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 300 block of N. Virginia St. on Saturday, April 8, at about 4 p.m.
Officers learned a 67-year-old man took out an undisclosed amount of money from the ATM, and as it was being dispensed someone in a black cap appeared and took the cash. The victim got into a struggle with the thief in an attempt to take back the money.
The man in the black hat is described as a white male adult between 20 and 40 years old, 5 feet, 11 to 6 feet, 3 inches tall and of an average build.
Another man, wearing a red cap, was acting as the lookout, according to Chalmers. That man is described as a white male adult, between 20 and 40 years old, with a mustache and goatee, dark hair and average build.
