Reno police: 1 injured in vehicle vs. pedestrian crash

One person is suffering life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Reno early Saturday morning, according to Reno police.

Police say at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, crews responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in the 100 block of North Center Street. There, a vehicle was traveling north on Center Street and struck a pedestrian that was crossing mid-block during the hours of darkness, according to police.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital. The driver, police say, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing.
