Cars drive through the Pyramid Way and McCarran Boulevard intersection on Thursday, November 17, 2016 (SBG)

A member of the Reno Elks Lodge will be walking around the 26-mile McCarran Loop for the fifth year to raise money for veterans.

Diane Hyde-Toles will begin her walk at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, in the parking lot of the Elks Lodge on 597 Kumle Lane.

The walk will end in the same location, with lodge members expecting her to arrive at about 2 p.m.

Hyde-Toles has raised more than $12,000 for the event in the past, and she already held a pre-walk pancake breakfast to raise more than $3,500 this year.

People are invited to participate in the walk as well, and a car will drive to and from the Lodge as needed.

To learn more, you can call Hyde-Toles at 200-5179.
