US 50 reopened outside of Austin following deadly crash
US 50 has reopened after authorities shut it down in both directions about 35 miles west of Austin Tuesday to investigate a deadly crash.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Stewart said in an email that investigators believe a semi tractor-trailer and vehicle collided head-on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
One person inside the vehicle was killed, and the semi was hauling hay that caught fire.
No other details were immediately available. Stewart said more information should be available in a statement to come Wednesday.
