NHP: 60-year-old Dayton woman ID'd as victim in deadly crash on US 50
DAYTON, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
A 60-year-old Dayton woman died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 Thursday, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded at about 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, to the intersection of Highway 50 and Retail Raod for the crash.
The initial investigation indicates a black 1999 Ford Expedition was heading east on Highway 50 west of Retail, while a white 2006 Honda Odyssey was going west, NHP says.
The Ford crossed into the westbound lanes, hitting the Honda head-on while in the right-hand lane.
The driver of the Honda, identified as Nancy Lynn Wise-Ramey of Dayton, succumbed to her injuries at the scene, according to NHP.
The driver of the Ford was taken to Renown in Reno via Care Flight with serious injuries. Troopers say nobody else was in either car at the time of the crash.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Trooper Jason Litchie at (775) 687-9631 or at firstname.lastname@example.org regarding NHP Case #180200781.
