Gov. Sandoval signs several bills into law as Nevada session nears end

Gov. Brian Sandoval has signed several bills into law over the last two days, according to a spokeswoman, as the legislative session nears its conclusion.

Sandoval signed 10 bills on Thursday, May 18, and 18 bills on Friday, May 19, spokeswoman Mari St. Martin said in a statement.

Assembly Bill 31 would expand the services offered by the Aging and Disability Services Division.

Assembly Bill 482 would expand the flexibility of the Department of Education to award Career and Technical Education grants for instruction programs in emerging industries.

Assembly Bill 98 would expand the staff of the Nevada Grants Office.

Senate Bill 175 would codify the governor's recognition of Asian Culture Day in Nevada.

The legislative session, which lasts 120 days, is scheduled to end on June 5.
