Crews contain 830-acre wildfire outside of Carlin

The Tank Fire burning 12 miles southwest of Carlin, in northeastern Nevada, has burned 830 acres and is fully contained as of Thursday at 8:45 p.m., according to the Bureau of Land Management.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out at 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jun. 28.

Short grass and brush are the main source of fuel for the fire.

More than 50 personnel from federal, state, and local agencies are on scene fighting the flames.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
