No active flanks in 100-acre fire reported north of Pyramid Lake

Multiple crews are responding to a 100-acre fire burning north of Pyramid Lake, according to dispatchers.

The Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center said the Bottom Fire, in the Bottom Ranch area near Round Hole Spring, was reported Thursday at 2:45 p.m.

According to Sierra Front, the fire was started by a contractor working in the area.

The fire grew to 100 acres, the agency reported just before 7:45 p.m. Thursday, but all active flanks were knocked down. Control is expected to be reached by 1 p.m. Friday, April 21.

Crews with the Bureau of Land Management are scheduled to staff the fire overnight.
