RENO - The SPCA of Northern Nevada's 5th annual pledges for pets telethon is taking place Sunday, March 9th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tune into MY21 and FOX11 to watch the telethon and donate live.

The telethon gives Nevadan's the opportunity to learn how SPCA is improving shelter community awareness.  Many adoptable dogs and cats will be showcased, along with families who have adopted from the SPCA.

You can watch it live on MY21 or at any Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill in Reno or Sparks. Ten percent of your food and beverage at any Bully's will be donated to the SPCA.

In this video, the SPCA of Northern Nevada introduces us to Tobi, a long-haired black male mix who was in the K9 facility for about 4 years before he was adopted by David.

Once a dog is in the SPCA K9 facility, they are taken care with as much love as the shelter can provide. But the longer an animal lives in a shelter without the companionship of an owner, the more it affects their behavior.

Since being adopted, Tobi is now trusting of humans, friendly and most importantly, he is happy. Tune in this Sunday to help more dogs like Tobi or donate now at spcanevada.org. 5th annual pledges for pets coming soon
